United Business Machines arrive in Slough

UBM were delighted to open a new office in Slough towards the end of 2009. UBM’s expansion into the Thames Valley region was celebrated with an official launch party back in November.

The highlight of this fun-packed evening was the ‘keep-me-up’ competition. Guests kicked a football around the new offices at Bath Road in an attempt to win a signed ball from John Salako, England Footballer, Sky Sports Presenter and Ambassador to UBM.

By investing in Slough, UBM not only seek to provide cost effective print & copy solutions for businesses, but also aim to bring their very active corporate social responsibility agenda to the area and give something back to the community.

During the party an England football shirt, signed by Salako was auctioned for Age Concern Slough.

As a guest at the launch party, Tracey Morgan, Chief Executive of Age Concern commented that ‘UBM’s support is more important than ever in these recessionary times as we strive to support older people. We really appreciate their donation at this much-needed time and will put it to good use for older people in the town

UBM’s corporate social responsibility work continues after the successes experienced, as sponsors of the recent Slough Masters. Terry Woods, UBM’s Managing Director says “We have raised over £100,000 in the last few years for numerous charities. I hope we can do the same here in the Thames Valley”

UBM are looking forward to a successful 2010 in their new Slough offices and aim to continue helping the local community and businesses.
