United Business Machines - Corporate Social Responsibility at Hastings United Football Club
United Business Machines continues to support the local community in Hastings, with it’s investment in Hastings United Football Club’s ‘United in the Community campaign’. The St. Leonards based business, that supplies photocopiers and digital document solutions, to local businesses, has decided to invest in the clubs activities, including the Easter Soccer School for the youth of Hastings.
UMB’s Business Ambassador John Salako, ex England Footballer and Sky Sports Presenter joined this year’s event, which was attended by local young footballers.
Dave Walters, Chairman of HUFC said “We were delighted to have UBM sponsoring the event and John Salako coaching the boys, for a day. It shows how committed their business is to the community and plays a part in their Corporate Social Responsibility strategy”
Terry Woods, Managing Director and owner of UBM stated “ I am determined to help were we can in all aspects of the local community. We have a successful business that allows us to invest back in the community we live in”
John Salako commented at the event “UBM’s community support programme is excellent for the rising football stars of Hastings. I remember how I felt when I was learning to play at events like this. It is through hard work, determination and professional coaching that I was able to succeed.”
